A black women's passion is to succeed beyond what anyone would ever imagine. We are willing to go so far and risk so much but don't get an inch of the respect we deserve. This is my life, my world and I'm the boss of it. Should I care who gets rolled over in the process? Should I bend over and take it no matter how bad my back hurts? I don't want to hurt. Why should I let someone write my story with their own pen? I know my story better than anyone. I want to break barriers and move mountains. I don't want to stop, I can't... Can I, should I, will I? Is there a different story? One where love hits me and consumes me like lava taking over land. That pen that wrote those stories was bled dry and it would take an act of God to squeeze a drop from it to make a different ending. So I'm choosing the story I know from the pen that has never let me down. The pen that gives me passion, success, infinite respect. My story only changes if I write a different ending.
