Lucy Thompson
was a full-blooded Klamath River Indian. She writes of the customs, life, and religion of her people, together with folklore, fables, and history. Lucy was raised, trained, and taught to be a Talth, the highest position within the Klamath. By virtue of this status, she was able to understand "...every word, every nod and gesture made in our language." In short, this is a book written by someone who knows what she's talking about.
